Ever wondered why every single country the West has blown shit out of in the last 50 years has done absolutely nothing to threaten our beloved way of life?

Truth is, it's the gangster leaders of our governments (all governments are the same - liars, rapists, mass murderers, power hungry Faustian pact signing fevered souls) that rape and pillage the world and do it in the name of progress.

I will never defend the treatment of political prisoners in certain countries, nor the oppression of women, or the keeping of people stupid and poor with religion force fed down their throats llike some big fascist cosmological penis.

But neither will I support the genocidal adventures of the USA, and the brutalisation of little brown people around the world.

American military are drawing up plans for 10,000 targets in Iran. Just like the Israeli attack on Lebanon in 2006, these will include bridges, sewage treatment plants, power stations, airports, and other infrastructure. In contravention of the Geneva Convention. A lot of civilians will die.

It sickens me to see Blackwater allowed to carry on operating in Iraq, and it sickens me that young working class Britons and Americans are sent there to kill and be killed by other men who they never met and they don't have a gripe with.

And so social mobility in Britain is declining.
Social mobility is the measure of how poor people are able to have better lives than their parents. For example, good social mobility shows that lots of poor kids get a good education, and then enter good jobs. From then on their kids do well, and are in higher socio-economic groups.
In Britain, of all the developed nations, we have the LOWEST social mobility. Even worse than the USA.

Why is this? What does a society have to gain from lower social mobility.
Well, if you are a privileged member of the elite, there is a lot to gain from dividing and conquering the population of worker drones. Your kids go to posh boarding schools and make contacts with the small network of elite children, who go on to be the future heads of business and power. As there are fewer of you, and the circles are more concetrated, it makes the tight grip of control easier. The manner of speaking, the "posh accent", reinforces this inner circle.

Everyone else can slave away in the government schooling system. I have met many, who are the exceptions to the rule; state school kids who are now lawyers and doctors - but they've had to swim against a tide - even they have told me that most of their school friends are now in low pay jobs. That's why they are the exception.

I am talking about the masses. Not the glorious exceptions (who may I add, should be doubly proud). I am talking about the kids you see undernourished and smoking on street corners, speaking some inner city and tribal pseudo-english that any interviewer would recoil from and throw the CV into the bin. You know the type, the kids with fear and distrust and a low IQ brought on by no pushing by either teachers or parents. I myself, am amazed, at how these kids, obviously brought up in London, can have a colloquial dialect so far removed from what can be described as any form of English accent.
Now, obviously, an accent does not make an intelligent person, but people do discriminate, especially in this class obsessed and petty country.

My solution: have a classless accent. Don't ape the people around you. Stand out. Don't let people make such shallow judgements. This applies to the people at the top of the socio-economic scale, as well as the bottom. I, for one, detest the stuck up wanker voice as much as the hoodie Peckham spittle.

It's not the state to blame, entirely. I happen to believe that everyone is responsible for their own actions. If you are a shit, and you don't encourage your children to do well, then, they very well probably won't turn out too well. Fuck these parents, and their perpetuation of welfare induced poor personal achievement makeups, their celebration of the mediocre, their atavistic hate of anything successful.

 

Due to the "War on Terror" and various stock market bubbles being inflated, exploded, and then replaced by other bubbles (Tech/Internet - Housing - Oil ($200 per barrel very soon) our generation (people born 1975 - present) is the VERY FIRST generation in the history of the enlightened West to have a LOWER standard of living that the preceding generation.

How can this be, I hear you ask, that we, with all our technological advances, wired up networking and free thinking, that we have a lower standard of living?

Well, it doesn't take a genius to see that the Western world is totally fucked up beyond all recognition. But why; what is it that makes us live in fear and hate and squalour in greater numbers than the previous generation?

1. House prices.
A man's house is his castle. But now the young man cannot afford to have a house, and so rents and fuels the richness of the preceeding generation, his landLORD. This is not a nice state to be in, as I very well know.

2. Neo-Calvinism and the Return of Victorian Morals.
In the seventies when everyone was fucking everyone else and going to watch Deep Throat at the cinema. People could smoke at work, drink in the office, scratch their balls and generally behave like an adult. Now we cannot even smoke in a fuckin' bar, much less the office. Having an afternoon drink could get you labelled as a savage drunkard. The Police can take you down for looking funny, under anti-terror laws. We're all guilty.

3. The "War on Terror" (Which also includes "War on Drugs version 2.0")
International Terrorism kills less people a year than motorways do in a month. But we are constantly bombarded by images of mad mullahs and beheadings.

But we're kept divided and stupid and hateful. The Police bust us for demonstrating outside Westminster. I was at the Burmese Embassy in London and the Metropolitan Police had pigs with sub-machine guns guarding the Junta headquarters in Mayfair.

4. Widening Gap between Rich and Poor.

Nowhere in the Western world is this worse than in the USA and the UK. This has a knock on effect on everyone else, especially us chumps on the hamster wheel of tax paying in the middle. When Jade Goody is a millionaire, and mediocrity is revered, I know I need to drop out of this system. No wonder poor kids are hooded up and mugging and not trying at school. They're brutalised and turned into monsters that we can all rejoice in hating. (Fuckin' chavs - I know it's not your fault, but I hate you anyway.)

Epilogue:

When my Dad was my age, at 27, he was buying houses and sports cars for peanuts, and he wasn't even well off, just a sailor. His stories involve care-free fisticuffs and womanizing, tiny mortgages and social cohesion. His dinner time stories ring more true and more insane than the best of Hunter S. Thompson. Pops, I salute you and your "last days of party" attitude.
What do we have now? We have mass paranoia about those scary Mohammedans, a military industrial complex exporting the finest death mahcines to our allies and a most bizarre Israeli regime that is more like Hitler's henchmen than they'd like to believe.

I want to be able to smoke in bars, drink with my colleagues at work, and not feel threatened walking through various parts of London. I want my future kids to be able to play in the street without some degenerate shooting a pistol from a BMX bike in their general direction.

Most of all, I wish I could afford a house!
